"Indiana Jazz Legend" Dr. Tsepo Larry Ridley, Professor of Music, Emeritus- Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey is the consummate jazz "Bassist Extraordinaire". A member of the Downbeat Magazine Jazz Educators and IAJE Halls of Fame, he has performed and recorded with many of the greatest progenitors in music. Ridley is available both alone and with his group- the Jazz Legacy Ensemble� for performances, recordings, workshops, clinics, lectures, consultancies, curriculum design and as artist-in-residence.
Ridley has and continues to perform and record with a veritable "Who's Who" of notables including Wes Montgomery, Coleman Hawkins, Thelonious Monk, Dizzy Gillespie, James Moody, Slide Hampton, Duke Ellington, Sonny Rollins, Gerald Wilson, Eric Dolphy, Philly Joe Jones, Horace Silver, Carmen McRae, Roy Haynes, Benny Goodman, Dexter Gordon, Billy Taylor, Freddie Hubbard, Lee Morgan, Jackie McLean, Max Roach, Hank Mobley, Gerald Wilson and many others.
